I am sure I must be one of a number of people who started reading Sussex Life in the doctor’s surgery just to see the advertisements for the houses we could only dream of owning. But then I discovered that those alluring advertisements are only a fraction of the full Sussex Life story.
I just love your fascinating features on towns in the two counties, the First Impressions which often mirror my own experiences and of course the superb photographs. In fact, I enjoy Sussex Life so much that now I am a subscriber.
What I particularly like is that your magazine goes on entertaining and informing right through to the very last page – with its fascinating look back at earlier issues – unlike so many publications which slither into an unreadable mass of small-ads at the back. My favourites? Feedback, of course, and Chris Horlock’s forays into the history of Sussex. Last month’s account of ghostly goings-on at Moulsecoomb station was really scary. And I have to confess that I shuddered when my train stopped there the other day – in broad daylight!
Fortunately I had my Sussex Life to hand in case I needed to beat off any evil spirits popping over from the Other Side.
